Mechanism Of Action

Thymosin Alpha 1 is simply a peptide from the Thymus that helps modulate the immune system at essentially every step in the immune cascade by increasing T-cells, B-Cells, and NK cells! So, broad action.

Tremendous immune modulating properties (it will help differentiate T-helper cells, it will help differentiate cytotoxic T-cells, it helps antibody producing B cells). This is how it reduces cytokines formed (the body’s mediators of inflammation), thus reducing inflammatory response to oxidative damage, and thus reducing aging.

And thus it can, one, reduce auto immune antibodies in autoimmune disorders like SLE.

And it can, two, reduce inflammatory response and less cytokines, allowing for a much more direct response against an antigen.

And three, because it increases the immune system’s MHC class I molecule production, it allows your immune system to selectively target cancer by helping your immune cells provoke a viral response to a cancer.

Uses for Thymosin Alpha 1

It is now widely approved for use in 35 countries, used in children, adults, and animals.

Cancer patients. Inflammatory conditions. Infectious diseases. Many many uses. Melanoma, chronic fatigue syndrome, and Lyme disease. It is an anti-viral, including influenza. Hepatitis C, hepatitis B. Epstein-Barr virus (EBV). It’s selectively increases the immune system’s detection and response to viral antigens. So, it is also useful in vaccines. It is used in anti-aging. It protects against oxidative damage. People going for anti-aging from its anti-inflammatory and thus anti-senescence plus aiming to keep their immune system healthy will do a course of this every 3 months protecting against senescence. It helps in chronic fatigue syndrome because it lowers cytokines, big time inflammatory mediators. It stimulates absolutely every cell in the immune cascade from T cell differentiation all the way to improving T cell regulatory function. Most important, it increases stem cell class one expression, and that is where it’s producing anti-cancer effects. Because it augments immune function, it is used in vaccines. It also blocks steroid apoptosis of thymocytes.

Administration of Thymosin Alpha 1

It is used cyclically months at a time every three months, say, year around.

Daily dosing.

Many indications at higher dose: twice a week dosing.

Time of dosing usually not important.

Risks of Thymosin Alpha 1

This is an extremely safe peptide. Less side effects than placebo in many studies!

Only thing, this is a relatively large amino acid sequence, so perhaps somewhat unstable.
