What is Semax?

Semax is a fragment piece of ACTH.

Mechanism of action

It, like ACTH, binds to melanocortin receptors. It activates formation of dopamine and serotonin. This enables us to handle anxiety and mental fatigue, improves our brains ability to adapt, and increases the brain’s resistance to stressors including hypoxia and ischemia.

It’s effects last 24 hours per dosing.

Uses of Semax

Anxiety, stroke, chronic fatigue, mental fatigue, POTS.

In healthy individuals, it improves memory and attention.

Administration of Semax

SQ & intranasally. 10-14 days, repeating if needed.

Neuropeptides are used in combination with others for safety and longevity of use.

Selank is used concurrently with Semax to increase the efficacy of both while decreasing the risks of either.

A popular dosing schedule:
Semax dosed Monday,
Selank Tuesday,
Nothing Wednesday,
Semax Thursday,
Selank Friday,
Off Saturday & Sunday

Precautions with Semax

It has some anticoagulant effects. So, it should be used with caution if the patient is on anticoagulants.

Other precautions involve using this in depressive patients. Some depression has a tendency to slip into anxiety if resolved incorrectly. Other depression has a tendency to slip into a manic state if resolved incorrectly. If bipolar, consider alternative care and or much caution. If clearly not bipolar, then the same amount of caution, with greater assessments before and after treatment including bloodwork to make sure that vitamins don’t need to be corrected.

Conclusion

Semax is extremely safe and useful in many brain disorders, especially in combination with other neuropeptides.
